Buying vs. Unlocking Skills? - Guild Wars Forums

Hey all,

I am working on leveling my Necromancer with a secondary in Elementalist. My question is relatively straight forward - Which skills should I unlock through quests versus which skills should I unlock by spending my skill points and gold?

I haven't looked into the whole skill point progression too greatly, but it seems to be one point per level (yes?). So, I don't want to waste any points on skills that are easily unlocked. If possible, I would like recommendations on skills, or references to resources which may address this question further.

It is best to unlock fromd doing quests rather than buying them as you will need the skill points for your elites later on.

This of coarse if yuo are just doing Prophecies only if Factions or Nightfall you might need to spend some to get decent build.
